CHIRSTMAS PARTIES AND SANTA

We had a few Christmas parties the week before Christmas. These photos are from Bryan's family party. We went to his sister Megan's house in Blackfoot. And as you can see, Santa visited the kids......and yes, me too!! :) He asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him that I wanted my house done, but.....it's not. Maybe he was thinking next year?! Anyway, we had a great time hanging out with family, eating yummy food, and singing Christmas songs.

PIANO RECITAL

I have been teaching piano for a couple of years and now have 6 students. I decided this year that I was going to do a Christmas recital. I was very happy with the way things turned out. It was a little short since there are only six. But each girl played two songs and then we had some refreshments. The girls had a good time and did a GREAT job, I was so proud of them. I am excited to be able to do another recital.

SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN.......

Rigby had there Midnight Madness the other night and Santa came. He rode in on old Beamer Fire Truck. (There was NO snow so I guess he couldn't bring his reindeer and sled!!!!! :)

There were so many kids that they didn't get to sit on his lap. He just stood next to the fire truck and handed out treats. But lucky little Madi got to give him a kiss on the cheek. I think she was trying to suck up to him so he would bring her something really nice this year! :) Do you think it will work?
It was pretty cold so the kids were all bundled up in there hats, gloves, and boots. Oakleigh was good with not having to sit on Santas lap. He kind of scares her. Santa comes to Bryans family Christmas party every year and the kids all sit on his lap and tell him what they want and then he has a present for them. We will see what Oakleigh thinks!

WRESTLING

We decided to put Wyatt in wrestling this year. We are constantly dragging him to the girls dance performances and competitions, or to Paden's ball games and I felt like he needed something to do. And why wrestling you ask? Well, because that is the only thing that he is old enough for right now. He is to young for Basketball and Football. He wanted to play soccer but that isn't til summer. So he gets to wrestle! It's been good for him and he has really enjoyed it. This is not something that I plan to leave him in for the rest of his life, he just needed something til he was old enough to start the other stuff.

THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

We had a very busy Thanksgiving weekend. We spent Thanksgiving day in Blackfoot with Bryan's family. I forgot my camera so I don't have any pics from that day. But we had LOTS of yummy food. Bryan had to work the day after Thanksgiving so we came home Thursday night and spent a couple of hours with my family. My mom makes the best homemade stuffing and even though I was so full Istill had to have some. It just isn't Thanksgiving with out her stuffing!!!

We didn't have any of the kids with us for Thanksgiving this year and since Bryan had to work Friday, Oakleigh and I ventured out Friday morning and went shopping. I am one of those crazy people that LOVE LOVE LOVE to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. I don't get up and 4:00 and hit all of the door busters, I usually head out about 8:00 and hit some of the early morning sales and then just spend the rest of the day going back to the stores for other things that I needed that were not on their early morning sales. Oakleigh did great! She loves to sit in her stroller and watch everyone and everything.

Santa was at the mall and I thought I would let her sit on his lap. I wished I had taken a picture. She didn't love it so much!! Maybe next time :)

Bryan's parents returned home from their mission a couple of weeks ago and they reported on Sunday. So we headed back down Saturday night for that. It is great to have them home. They were only gone for 7 months but it seemed like forever.
