(Oakleigh was a little more excited about getting her beauty sleep than watching the parade!!)
After the parade in Rexburg, we hurried back to Menan so we could watch the parade that they have out there every year on the 4th. My dad is always in the Menan parade. He either rides in one of the patrol cars or rides his horse. The kids always get excited to see him so we make sure we are there for that.
After the parade we walked over to the park and enjoyed some food and fun. It was such a warm day, my kids were glad to have the water games. Wyatt absolutely loved this water slide. All he wanted was and all day pass so that he could slide all day. 
We love spending the day in Menan for the 4th. We set up a canopy with our blankets and lawn chairs and park it for the day and wait for the FIREWORKS! The kids run around, play frisbee, or baseball. They have food booths and fun things to walk around and look at.

OHHH, I miss menan's 4th of July!!
I thought the parade in Rexburg was way to long also. My girls tried to get candy but gave up after the first half because there were so many other kids right by us and then they got honory so we left early. I stayed to see the girls dance but we didn't get to see any of it, they were just walking. I was kind of bumbed. We tried to make a lot of noise for them, but I don't think they heard us. Looks like you had a fun day. Were looking forward to Thursday.
