MEMORIAL DAY

So I can't remember the last time that we had a Memorial Day that it did NOT rain. And this year the weather man was predicting no different. So since it was nice and sunny Sunday, atleast for a little while, we decided after church to run down to the Blackfoot cemetary. On our way down, Bryan was visiting with the kids about Memorial Day, and what it was all about. He asked the kids to share something about someone that they new who had passed away. We started with Madi and she talked about Grandma Shorty, my dad's mom. Then Morgan talked about her great grandpa on her mom's side, and Paden shared some stories that he had heard about Grandpa Stan, Bryan's dad. It was neat to listen to the kids talk about all of these stories that they have heard about their grandparents.
And then it was Wyatt's turn. He sat there for a minute in silence, and I thought about helping him with something because he didn't know anyone....or so I thought. All of a sudden he says "President Hinkley," and I wanted to cry. Even I hadn't thought of that. I was so proud of him. We visited with him for a minute about the wonderful man that President Hinkley was and about the amazing work that he did and all of the temples that he built.

Monday it RAINED!! Big surprise. But we went out in it anyway. We took flowers to the cemetaries in Rigby where my grandparents are.

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY...

Can I just say that I am SOOOOOO tired of the rain. We have had rain for 6 days straight. You could wake up in the morning and the sun would be out and you would think, "HA, the weather man was wrong!!" And then by mid morning it would be pouring. We have not been able to go outside and do anything because it is so wet. My poor boys have been having baseball practice and baseball games in this crummy weather. I NEED SOME SUN!!!!!

ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END!!

The girls had their end of the year dance recital Saturday night. They did a good job. I am sad that it is over. It's been a fun year. I don't know what I am going to do with all of my free time this summer now that I won't be chasing to dance 3 days a week.
We had tryouts last week and the girls all made the team for next year. Good Job Girls!!!!

FATHER/SON CAMPOUT

Our ward had it's Father/Son Campout this past weekend.
They camped down in the bowl of the South Butte. The boys had a lot of fun. And the weather was really nice.

GRADUATION

Wyatt is a 2008 Graduate of Leading Edge Preschool!! He has had so much fun this past year with Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Mcouly, and Mrs. Anderson. They are amazing teachers. It is crazy to think that just four years ago Madi was graduating from this same preschool! Where does the time go?
The kids sang a bunch of songs that they had learned through the year. They sang holiday songs, silly songs, and at the end of the program they sang "God Bless the USA"! It was AWSOME!! They each got to tell what there favorite thing was about preschool, and Wyatt's was........yep, you guessed it......COWBOY DAY!!!!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

Yesterday was Wyatt's last day of pre-school, which means next year he will be in Kindergarten. My kids are growing so fast :(

This little girl is in his class and she kept asking him to give her a hug and he didn't want to. She finally just walked up to him and threw her arms around him!!
I thought it was pretty cute, but he wasn't too thrilled :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADI!!

Yesterday was Madi's birthday, she turned 9. Yes, I know, I'm getting old =) Where does the time go?!

We had a lot of fun. First we went to Papa Kelsey's and had Pizza and opened presents. I think she was pretty pleased with what she got. All she asked for was Nintendo Dogs for her DS, and Heeley's. And she got both!!!

After pizza, we went bowling. I haven't been bowling in years. It was so much fun!!! The kids had a blast. We didn't even have a chance to keep score with them, they just wanted to keep rolling the ball. And if it didn't go fast enough down the lane, they would chase after it, bring it back, and roll it again.

We finished the night off with a Birthday Blizzard instead of a Birthday Cake. They were yummy! It was just too bad we couldn't put candles in the blizzard!!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great mothers day. Being a mom is one of life's greatest blessings. I love each one of my kids so much. I am so greatful to have been given this wonderful calling in life. And I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I am greatful for a wonderful mother who has taught me many things in life. She has cried with me through the struggles and bad days, and smiled and laughed with me through the happy days. I truly have the most wonderful mother! I love you mom!!

And I am greatful for a wonderful mother in law. Thank you for accepting and welcoming my kids and I with open arms. And thank you for raising a wonder ful son, who has been an absolute blessing in my life. I hope all is well on your mission. We and miss you!!

FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

After the girl's danced Saturday we got to spend the rest of the day playing and riding the rides. We had so much fun and the weather turned out to be pretty nice.

There were a couple of rides that Wyatt just loved and had to ride over and over. And then there were some he didn't love so much, like Rattle Snake Rapids. I think that he enjoyed it until they started going under the water falls and he got wet.

LAGOON!!!!!!

We had our final dance competition this past weekend at Lagoon. Madi and Bryanalee did their solos. The sound people were having trouble with the music and it kept cutting out on both of the girls. But they both continued their dances and finished without music. We were very proud of them for finishing. And so were the judges. Madi took first place in her division, and Bryanalee took second in hers. Way to go girls!!! What a way to end the year!!!
